I received a call from Nate and we had a really great conversation. I miss him so much. They sent me a nice Mothers Day card and are taking Rachel's mom out to dinner.
Anthony is here and I get to actually hug him in real time. That is awesome.
Denise called on the way to work and surprised me. She is doing good and is going to call me again this week. I am happy she called.
Dad called his former mother in law to wish her a happy mothers day and she told him she could always count on him for that. Really nice lady.
I cant call my Mom because she is no longer with us. I do miss her very much.
I gave my Mom one year a pink pretty box very small one that said:
DO NOT OPEN!
Please leave this gift-wrapped,
with ribbon tied,
Because, you see,
there's something special inside.
Whenever you feel lonely,
or maybe a little blue,
Hold it tight,
and know I'm thinking of you.
This box may be small,
but there's magic in here,
Because it's filled
with LOVE for my Mom dear.
Well my mom loved that little box and kept it by her for a very long time. We were not near one another at the time and she held onto that box and actually held it often to remind her that I loved her every day of her life no matter what.
Each year I tried to make sure my mother had something just from me that showed her that I loved her with all my heart. I would always call her and we would talk about everything we could think of. I know it meant alot to her. What have you done to make your mother feel that way?
I think all children should make the effort to make their mom feel special from everyone else and very loved on Mothers Day. Definitely I recommend a personal phone call besides a nice card or flowers. She is your mother and you only have one. But that is just my 2 cents worth. What do I know.
